Manage user settings
This page allows you to edit various user plugin settings.
General
Homepage
What to display as user's homepage. "Default" will display your site's default homepage. "Profile" will display user's profile page. "User news feed" will display user's timeline feed. "Public news feed" will display public timeline feed. "Custom page" will display one of your custom pages you may create in the control panel under "content - pages" (see setting below).
Homepage custom URL
If you selected "custom page" in the setting above, you must provide URL to this page here. For example if you have a page that opens up at www.example.com/site/my_page you may type in "site/my_page" here (without quotes).
Post login redirect
URL you want to redirect user to after they login. Leave empty to disable.
Post logout redirect
URL you want to redirect user to after they logout. Leave empty to disable.
No access URL (logged in)
URL you want to redirect logged in user to if they try to access a page or feature they don't have access to. For example you may redirect them to the membership plan page. Leave empty to disable.
No access URL (logged out)
URL you want to redirect user who is not logged in to if they try to access a page or feature they don't have access to. For example you may redirect them to the membership plan page. Leave empty to disable.
Show online status
If user was last active within the number of minutes specified here, they will be shows as "online". For example if you fill in 5 minutes, any user who has been active on your site within the last 5 minutes will have "online" indicated in their profile. Set 0 to disable.
Show away status
Same as the setting above except user will be shown as "away". Note that the value you specify here cannot be lower than in the "show online status" setting. Set 0 to disable.
Show last visit date
Show user's last visit date in their profile.
Profile rating
Enable either "likes" for profiles, or "star" rating from 1 to 5, or disable it completely.
Count profile views
Count number of times user's profile was viewed.
Show full profile details
Show all profile questions right away when viewing user's profile. If disabled, system will show only the first few questions up until the first section separator, and display a "view more" link to view the rest of profile questions.
Enable social sharing
Show predefined social sharing buttons such as Facebook, Twitter, etc. You may enter code for such buttons on the system settings page.
Registration
Enable registration
Enable or disable registration of new users.
Require terms of service
Force users accept terms of service.
Enable captcha
Force users answer a security question. This is useful to prevent automatic form submissions by bots.
Offer newsletter subscription
If enabled, users will be asked if they would like to sign up for newsletters during the registration process. If disabled, users will be signed up by default.
Sign up delay
Number of minutes that has to pass before user with the same IP address can register again. This is useful to prevent multiple registration by the same user. Set to 0 to disable this setting.

Specify what details user should fill in during registration.
Require picture
Force users upload a profile picture.
Manual picture verification
Review and approve profile pictures uploaded during registration manually.
Enable usernames
Allow users to select their profile username and access their profiles like www.yoursite.com/profile/username where "username" is the selected username. If disabled, system will use user's ID throughout the website, for example www.yoursite.com/profile/123
Maximum username length
Maximum number of characters allowed in the username.
Change email
Allow users to change their email. If you have email verification enabled, user will have to verify their new email before it changes.
Require email verification
Send confirmation link to user's email after registration. Upon following that link user's email address will be verified. If this setting is disabled, users will be verified automatically. Unverified users won't be able to login.
Verification reminders
Number of days after which system should send an email to users who did not confirm their email. Set 0 to disable.
Delete unverified users
Number of days after which system will delete users who did not confirm their email. Set 0 to disable.
Manual user verification
In addition to email verification you may also enable this setting to review user accounts manually. If disabled, users will be marked as "active" automatically. Inactive users won't be able to login.
New users on timeline
Display new users on the timeline when they register.
Send welcome email
Send a welcome email to your users after they register.
New user notification email
Send notification emails of new user sign ups to the email address provided in this setting. You may enter multiple emails if you prefer separated by coma. Leave empty to disable.
Banned usernames
List usernames you don't want your users to use. You may use * wild card, for example admin* will match admin, admins, administrator, etc. You may also create your own regular expression by grouping it with / characters, for example /[a-z]+/ You must not add any characters after the trailing / character. Place each username on a new line.
Banned emails
List email addresses you don't want your users to use. You may use * wild card, for example *@hotmail.* will match john@hotmail.com, john@hotmail.ca, etc. You may also create your own regular expression by grouping it with / characters, for example /[a-z]+/ You must not add any characters after the trailing / character. Place each email on a new line.
Conversion code
Insert javascript code here if you would like to track conversions when new users sign up. This code is usually provided by the service you use to run marketing campaigns or analyze your site's traffic (such as Google Analytics).
Cancel if inactive
Automatically cancel users if they were inactive (didn't login) for the specified number of days. Set 0 to disable.
Cancellation email
Send notification emails when user cancels their account along with the cancellation reason to the email address provided in this setting. You may enter multiple emails if you prefer separated by coma. Leave empty to disable.
Restore cancelled accounts
Users will be able to restore their cancelled accounts upon login.
Groups
Default user type
If you have only one profile type, or if you chose not to offer users to fill in their profile details during registration, system will automatically assign all new users to this profile type.
Default user group
All new users will be assigned to this group.
Guest user group
Users who visit your site and are not logged in will be assigned to this user group.
Privacy
Enable privacy page
Allow users to modify their privacy settings.
Default privacy option
If privacy settings are disabled, system will use this privacy option by default.
Enable privacy options
List of privacy options available for users to select from.
Notifications
Enable notifications page
Allow users to modify their notification settings.
Enable site notifications
Page where user can view all their notifications.
Notifications per page
Number of notification items per page.
Automatic check
System will automatically and continuously check for new notifications after the number of seconds specified in this setting. For example, if you enter 10, system will check for new notifications every 10 seconds. This is useful if the user leaves the browser window with your site open but does not continue browsing through it, they'll still be able to see new notifications. Set to 0 to disable it, new notifications will still be shown whenever user refreshes the page or navigates to a different page on your site.
Clean up delay
Delete old notifications after specified number of days.
Enable email notifications
System will automatically send email notifications to the user's email address.
Email notifications when online
If disabled, system will send email notifications only if user is not currently online visiting your site. If enabled, system will send email notifications regardless of user's online status.
Enable push notifications
System will automatically send push notifications to user's device.
Push notifications when online
Similar to the above email notifications, if disabled, system will send push notifications only if user is not currently online visiting your site. If enabled, system will send push notifications regardless of user's online status. You must enable one of the push notification services for this feature to work.
Email notifications delay
System will not send more than one email notification for the same type of content within the number of days you specify in this setting. For example if you enter 7 (one week) and someone leaves 30 comments for your user's pictures, they will get only one email notification instead of 30. If someone comments on their pictures again next week, user will get another email notification. This is useful to avoid getting dozens or more email notifications. Note that 7 day delay starts only from the last unseen notification. For example if user visits your site after getting the first email notification, then 7 day counter will restart from the last time they visited your site. Set this setting to 0 to disable it and send email notifications for everything without any limits.
Profile picture
Picture dimensions
Resize profile pictures to these dimensions.
Max picture dimensions
Maximum picture dimensions users can upload.
Max picture file size
Maximum profile picture file size in megabytes.
Large watermark image
Apply watermark image on pictures.
Small watermark image
Apply watermark image on thumbnails.
New pictures on timeline
Display new profile pictures on timeline.
Search
Default view
Default view for search results.
Users per page (list)
Number of users on search results page in list view.
Users per page (gallery)
Number of users on search results page in gallery view.
Infinite scrolling
System will automatically load and display profiles as user scrolls down to the bottom of the page. If disabled system will display traditional page links.
Only with pictures
Allow users to search users who have profile pictures.
Featured users
Allow users to search users who are featured.
Only online
Allow users to search users who are online.
Search by username
Allow search by username.
Show user's own profile
If enabled users will be able to find their own profiles in search results.
Friends
Enable friends
Enable user friends.
Friends per page
Number of users on the friends page.
Infinite scrolling
System will automatically load and display friends as user scrolls down to the bottom of the page. If disabled system will display traditional page links.
Show sent requests
Enable if you would like users to see a list of who they sent friend requests to.
Auto approve requests
If enabled system will automatically list users as friends without any confirmations.
New pictures on timeline
Display new friendships on timeline.
Enable email notifications
System will send user an email when someone sends them a friend request. Number of emails can be limited with the notifications delay setting.
Default friend IDs
Type in ID of the user who you would like to add automatically to friend lists of all new users who sign up on your site. You can specify multiple user IDs separated by comma as well.
Clean up delay
System will automatically delete friend requests that weren't accepted and are older than the specified number of days. Set to 0 to disable.
Favorites
Enable favorites
Users will be able to add others to their favorites lists.
Users per page
Number of users on the favorites page.
Infinite scrolling
System will automatically load and display favorites as user scrolls down to the bottom of the page. If disabled system will display traditional page links.
Visitors
Enable visitors
Record profile visitors.
Users per page

Allow users to block someone if they bother them in any way.
